MSAP 2015 Seminar – August 15

Having difficulty updating the Bylaws for an organization?  Challenged by options, because the bylaws are silent on a subject?  As an organization officer, or as parliamentarian, want to better understand what the chair does before a meeting and how to run a smooth meeting?  The 2015 Missouri State Association of Parliamentarians (MSAP) Annual Seminar offers help.  “Knowing the Fundamentals & Meeting the Challenges” is the theme on Saturday, August 15, 2015, and this year’s presentations are on “Bylaws” and on “The Role of the Chair”.

Register Now!

The $30* registration fee for the seminar includes morning refreshments, a box lunch and meeting materials.  Scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the seminar is again slated for the IBEW Local 124 Hall (lower level), in south Kansas City, Missouri.  General program information and a registration form are being provided to MSAP members and in a special mailing to other organizations, for use in registering and noting meal choice.

First-time seminar attendees will again be able to take advantage of a special membership offer.  A portion of the seminar registration for these individuals can be applied to MSAP membership fees through 2016.  Units are encouraged to take this opportunity to grow their membership by making information about the Annual Seminar and this new member offer available to other organizations that can benefit from the study of parliamentary procedure.

Get the word out about this year’s seminar.  More information is available by contacting MSAP 1st Vice President Jane Sharon, RP, at or by calling 816.257.0268.

* The cost for the seminar goes up to $35 for registrations and payments not postmarked by August 5, 2015, so confirm attendance early.
